So, while flipping through my latest issue of Creating Keepsakes I noticed lots of retro stuff, like papers and digital brushes. I also noticed a lot of paint splattered 1980's looking backgrounds.
This is such an easy technique to do! There are a few ways to get a good SPLAT of color!
1. Dip a wet paintbrush in acrylic paint and "flick" it on your cardstock. I would suggest 2-3 colors for maximum effect, and don't worry about any big blobs, that is "totally awesome."
2. Try the "rolling marble" technique. Add a few drops of re-inker to an empty SU plastic clamshell box, add a few marbles (you can get them at a dollar store!), roll them around to get inky. Then use a small piece of tape or reposition-able adhesive to attach your cardstock to the top cover of the box. Give it all a shake and viola! 3. Add some re-inker and a few drops of water to a mini mister and spray away! You can even try some glimmer mist on top to add some sparkle!
For this sample I used the rolling marble technique...I think it made a nice patterned paper for a manly card!
