World Card Making Day Challenge #3

Next in line at our Health Fair today....

Stop by and check your Blood Pressure!

This challenge is brought to you by the cardiologist on call, Denise...

Stamping and crafting are hobbies and these are things that are supposed to relax you and make you happy....right?
Well, if you are like me, there are some things that just drive your blood pressure SKY HIGH! For some people it is coloring in open stamps, for some it may be using certain colors, some people feel faint when they think about making a scrapbook layout....what makes YOUR Blood Pressure hit the ceiling???

For me...I practically have a stroke when someone tells me to use glitter! I know, all you bling fans (hey Lee!) are going crazy right now, but it's true. I can never get the glitter to stick right, always make a huge mess, and end up wasting more than I get on my paper.

SO....after I had a calming cup of Cozy Chamomile Tea...

and watch You Tube videos of cute puppies and kitties rolling around...

I broke out my box of glittery stuff (which was buried under my past year's tax forms LOL)....

Took me a while but here is what I came up with...and managed to keep my blood pressure down to a respectable level....

recipe: Stamps- Unity Distressed Dots BG, Papertrey Ink Winter Swirls, Vintage Labels
Ink- Aqua Mist, Colorbox Silver, Black
Paper- Aqua Mist, White
Accessories- Martha Stewart Glitter, Nestabilities, ribbon

Here is a close up of the glitter....I used Martha Stewarts Glitter glue...works ALOT better than hat and stick powder for me...just takes some drying time....

Well, I'm off to "Shake off The Glitter" as Katy Perry would say....Hope you keep your BP in check!

  1. Hmmmm. I'll have to think about this a few minutes. What is it that makes the BP soar?

  2. I figured it out. Sewing! I've sewn for many years but sewing on cardstock is so unforgiving. If you sew crooked or go to far, you have HOLES! Here is my BP card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1498322?nocache=1
